How to treat basal cell carcinoma
Basal cell carcinoma of the skin is a common malignant tumor of the skin. As a malignant tumor, it is characterized by aggressive growth. This makes the scope of true infringement much larger than it seems. handheld dermatoscope It is completely normal for us to touch the surface skin when doing microtopographic maps, but pathologically there are still malignant cells, which are related to the aggressive growth of malignant tumors.
Surgical resection is the preferred method:
Compared with enterprises, skin basal cell carcinoma is relatively simple and easy to be removed to achieve the purpose of radical treatment. electronic dermatoscope There are literature studies reported that as long as the tumor edge continues to expand 4-5mm in China, the radical cure rate of 95-98% can be achieved. Surgical resection is the preferred drug treatment technique for skin basal cell carcinoma. The surgical resection methods are as follows: 1) The traditional wide margin resection method, that is, the expansion of 4-10mm or more along the tumor margin. For our large or recurrent tumors a larger margin is required. Patients are regularly reviewed after surgery to see if there is a risk of recurrence and metastasis between tumors. 365nm UV Lamp 2) Five-point monitoring method. After excision with this traditional wide margin method, a total of 5 points were taken from the excision edge and bottom to design different pathological examinations to determine whether tumor immune cells were present through these social margin information. 3) Mohs (micrographic surgery), first expand the scope of their influence to remove the tumor, and take all the edge data for economic and rapid pathological examination. If there are not many tumor related cells in the site, they will be removed again for re-examination. Until now, all the edge and bottom tumors have been removed.
Non-preferred method:
In some special cases, the following methods can be used, or a combination of them.
1) Laser or electrocautery damage can carbonize and vaporize the tumor, so as to achieve the purpose of removing the tumor. The effect of this treatment is affected by many objective and subjective factors, and it is unclear whether tumor cells remain after clinical treatment. Therefore, it is not the first choice of treatment.
2) Photodynamic system therapy is to apply a specific drug that is sensitized by light on the surface of basal cell carcinoma, and then irradiate the tumor with specific light to achieve the purpose of environmental destruction of Chinese tumors. Often we need to go through multiple treatments. Since the external application of drugs and light can not reach a very deep depth, photodynamic technology is generally mainly used for clinical treatment of relatively shallow tumors. Some will choose to use different methods such as laser first, which is to destroy the tumor and then carry out photodynamic therapy.
3) Topical creams, such as imiquimod cream and 5-fluorouracil cream, are mainly used for superficial basal cell carcinoma.
4) Others, such as freezing, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, traditional Chinese medicine, etc. Radiation therapy can be applied to individuals, but chemotherapy has no clear drug, and Chinese medicine focuses more on conditioning the whole body.
